Bob Dylan will perform for the first time in Romania at Bucharest’s Iolanda Balas stadium on June 2. The show is part of the Never Ending Tour and will take place in Romania under a new festival concept called Emagic Classics, organized by Emagic Entertainment.

US rockers Aerosmith will come to Romania for the first time to play a concert at Romexpo on June 18.

Imagine, if you will, that your life is unremittingly bleak. You live in a dreary town in the north of England, where you work as a postman. You alienated the love of your live decades ago and she won’t speak to you. You have ended up living with your two foul-mouthed, work-shy, teenage stepsons who, when not lolling about the house, watching porn on TV and smoking joints, are stashing guns for the local gangster.

Romanian film If I Want to Whistle, I Whistle, by director Florin Serban, a runner-up in the Berlin International Film Festival, has been awarded two important accolades: the Silver Bear, which is the jury prize in the festival, as well as the Alfred Bauer award for artistic innovation. Serban’s feature-length debut is based on a theater play written by Andreea Valean.

Dino, an event which recreates a long gone world, is on show in Romexpo pavilions 20 and 21. The event is especially recommended for children, who can learn a lot about dinosaurs and what the earth looked like 240 million years ago.

A photography exhibition called Afghanistan Children of War will run until March 10 at the United Nations Organization (UNO) House.

The Romanian Royal Family intends to put Peles, one of the flagship Romanian castles under its ownership, up for sale, announced the minister of culture, Kelemen Hunor. He added that the state should consider buying the castle and start mobilizing the necessary resources.

They couldn’t have timed it better. As economic chaos encircles the globe, companies collapse and jobs are slashed, here is a bleak take on our turbulent times, a recession flick about a corporate downsizer.
