Chinese investors ready to swoop on construction works for Cluj airport runway
Chinese investors are interested in taking part in the bid to build the new runway at Cluj international airport, said the president of Cluj county council, Alin Tise, quoted by Mediafax newswire. He said Chinese investors from the Shandong province were interested in building the 3,500m runway. The value of the project, as it is assessed in the feasibility study, is EUR 122 million and covers the runway itself as well as the additional signaling equipment. Works for the project should take two years to complete. The Cluj county council and representatives of the Shandong province signed a partnership protocol at the beginning of May.
